taken from a news site...
Mr Rudd is quoted as saying:
"... popular cycling websites such as hillclimbr.com have alerted us to how much CO2 a road cyclist can produce. A good cyclist can produce upto 1500 litres of CO2 an hour. I think we all agree in this day and age this is not acceptable...."
Mr Rudd continued...
"We intend to impose a 20% CO2 tax on all new bike sales..."
At hillclimbr.com we think this is absolutely ridiculous and plan to start a petition against this.
How stupid is this..

| Tony Narkowicz says: I’ve read in the press today that Malcolm Turnbull has responded to this proposal angrily. “What a ridiculous tax, and it goes to prove how ill-informed labour’s greenhouse policies are. Everybody knows that methane is a much worst greenhouse gas than CO2, and if I were elected, I’ll be imposing a methane tax on cyclists, not a CO2 tax”. This sounds fair. Can Hillclimbr please advise how much methane a good cyclist produces in an hour?

| David Dawson says: If Kevin Rudd had ridden behind you Andy he would have a concern about methane.
